The Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Minister of Economy Artane Rizvanolli, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, the representatives of the World Bank Nicole Klingen, Natalija Gelvanovska Garcia, Charles Hurpy and Country Manager for Kosovo Massimiliano Paolucci and representatives of ARKEP, have inaugurated the National Spectrum Monitoring System (NSMS)!
NSMS has been announced as a project with national security importance since the first meeting of the Government.
Kosovo was among the last countries in Europe that did not have such a system of monitoring the frequency spectrum 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Through this project, the Ministry of Economy is committed to ensure that the frequency band is regulated but also sovereign from external influences in Kosovo. This system will enable that – like any other asset of the Republic of Kosovo – the frequency band is not only used but also protected by the state.
NSMS with four fixed stations and one monitoring mobile will enable the most efficient monitoring of the frequency spectrum in the entire territory of the Republic, as well as enable:
– Protection of national security;
– Maintenance of public order;
– Emergency public services;
– Protection of state borders;
– Monitoring the frequency spectrum of audio-visual media;
– Railway safety; among others.
